I returned to the same pond in the evening to see if the fishing was better. The results speak for themselves. I can only imagine that stress from fishing, predators, and heat can affect fishing in the evening. While the evening is still better than midday, the morning still wins out in the end, at least in my opinion.

Micro Fishing for Something New
Traveled to south central Idaho to see if I could catch some Lahontan Cutthroat Trout in the Grasmere Reservoir. The water was murky, the weather was hot and dry, and the fishing was difficult. I was seeing some small fish surfacing around the water's edges and decided to see if I could catch one of them to see what they were. What species of fish is this? Mountain Whitefish?
