Fishing
Trying Everything to Catch Something
I was all alone on this fishing trip, and if my struggles were the standard, I can understand why. It took over an hour to hook into my first fish. Another 20 minutes for the second, and over an hour and a half for the third. However, by the end, I found the combo that proved most successful. With a real red worm threaded onto a trout magnet jighead and a slow retrieve, I caught three more fish in the time it took me to catch the first.
Some Misses - Mostly Hits, Part 2
McDevitt has been stocked with some of the biggest trout the pond has had in a while. They aren't the brooders, but they are bigger than usual and a lot of fun. Today, I managed to get into some of the biggest of the bigs. I hope you enjoy the tight lines.

Tenkara for Sunfish and Baby Bass
My regular stocked pond has been slammed over the Summer, and they don't stock it over that time, so there were no trout to be found on this trip. Thankfully, I brought along my Tenkara gear and decided to give it a go with all the baby bass I could see along the shoreline. Turned out to be pretty fun and even started things off with a surprise species.
