Spring Fishing Kicks Off, Part 2
Back at McDevitt Pond, looking to see what trout remain after the winter stocking hiatus is nearing its end. I knew I had to explore the pond in order to find where the fish had settled. Thankfully, I found them quite quickly. Turned out to be a great day.

Ice Fishing Season Conclusion, Part 2
I head to Sego Prairie Pond with my ice fishing gear for one last go. The sun kept me warm while the fishing was hot and cold throughout the day. In the end, I hooked into some good trout. I hadn't used my Dieselbait Eggs in a while, and the orange variety on a jig head turned out to be a winning combo.

Ice Fishing in the Snow, Part 2
After catching only 3 trout at McDevitt Pond, I made my way to Sego Prairie Pond. A few familiar faces were at the pond, and the fishing started slowly until I found the correct depth. The fishing heated up even though the weather was frigid.

Newish Pond, New Friends, and Great Fish - Part 2
I fished this pond in January when it was frozen over. I returned to find the weather was too warm for ice, but since I have the equipment for ice fishing, I will give it a go anyway. Turns out to be a great day. I made some new friends and caught several fish. Enjoy the show.

Low Water, High Fish Count, Part 2
With the Honey Worm on the weighted float, the fishing heats up. When you find what they are hungry for, the fishing quickly improves. I also discovered that I must be patient and wait for the second strike to get a good hookset. Trying to set the hook on the first strike resulted in miss after miss. Waiting for that second strike improved my hooksets to nearly 100%.
