Fishing
Tenkara for Sunfish and Baby Bass
My regular stocked pond has been slammed over the Summer, and they don't stock it over that time, so there were no trout to be found on this trip. Thankfully, I brought along my Tenkara gear and decided to give it a go with all the baby bass I could see along the shoreline. Turned out to be pretty fun and even started things off with a surprise species.
New Pond - Great Fishing
Fished a new pond. It is much smaller than the pond near my home, but I started right off at a great spot and had a fun and successful trip. The wind made things a little difficult, especially since my rig was incredibly lightweight, but I was able to make it work.
Tough Start - Reasonable Conclusion
The pond is starting to get crowded, and soon it will be nearly impossible to use. I have to wait for my turn at the seemingly only spot the fish are congregating at, but even when I get the good spot, I have to find what the fish are biting on.
Time, Temperature, and Determination (Part 2)
The good times keep rolling for this day. Once I figured out the rig and the fish got hungry, it was smooth sailing. Not the best day ever, but certainly a great day.
Time, Temperature, and Determination (Part 1)
My patience was being testing on this outing. What had been working the last several times was no longer getting the job done. I switch up my rig finally, and, with the warmer temps and not giving up, the bite really picks up.
