Fishing
You Have to Find the Fish
Sometimes, you have to try several locations until you find the fish. Today was one of those days. I started at my usual pond, but with nothing even biting, I moved on to Settler's pond. After fishing the whole pond, I caught 1 fish that never registered on the line. In hopes of finally finding more fish, I decided to try Kleiner Ponds. I don't fish here very often, but I was willing to give it a shot. It didn't look good as I fished around the entire larger pond. The smaller pond didn't seem to be fairing any better until I found the fish. It turned out to be a decent day after all.
Finally Seeing Success with Lures
I was determined to catch more than one trout on lures and decided to make it happen on this trip to the stocked pond. I started with my yellow Panther spinner and broke the single-fish curse. How many did I catch? More than I expected.
Beautiful Sunrise & Beautiful Rainbows
The stocked pond has some rainbow trout in it once again. I started out hoping to hook into some trout again and find the experience rewarding but not without its struggles. The weather has quickly turned cold, which seems to have made the fish a little fickle.
Panfish Save the Day
This was my second time at this pond, and it pulled through, just not how I expected. I was planning for rainbow trout but instead caught a handful of bluegill and a fingerling baby bass. Overall, the results were surprising but a lot of fun.
Tenkara for Lots of Baby Bass, the Conclusion
Finishing off at the stocked pond. With the biggest fish coming in at about 6 inches, we certainly aren't breaking any records. Despite their size it is still fun to see such small fish be so aggressive. Ends up being a fun little day of fishing.
